The term "dull" or "lacklustre" skin usually refers to skin that looks tired and has lost its natural glow.

Overview

Dehydrated skin is often mistaken for dry skin, but they are distinct conditions.
Dehydrated skin lacks water, leading to symptoms such as tightness, itchiness, dullness, and an uneven complexion. It can also make fine lines appear more pronounced. In contrast, dry skin is a skin type that lacks natural oils (sebum), not water.

Skin types—such as normal, dry, combination, or oily—are determined by how much oil your skin produces.
While your skin type can change over time due to age or seasonal shifts, dehydration is a temporary condition that can affect any skin type, including oily skin.

When your skin is dry, your sebaceous glands don’t produce enough oil.
In such cases, rich moisturisers or emollient creams are typically needed to help lock in moisture and protect the skin barrier.

Dehydration, on the other hand, occurs when your body loses more water than it takes in.
This can result from factors such as inadequate water intake, excessive sweating, caffeine consumption, or improper use of skincare products that strip the skin of moisture.

Dark under-eye circles
Sunken eyes
“Shadows” around the face (especially under the eyes and around the nose)

I had pretty much accepted that this was just a part of getting older and persuing a hobby that meant being outside in all weathers.
The consultation process was thorough and the pricing was reasonable.
The procedure was not painful - I only experienced just the very slightest of twinges. The side effects were minimal.
